The Three-Step Wet-Zone Sealing Procedure
Step 1: Traditional Soaping & Chemical Reaction
Once the stone-burnished surface achieves its proper initial set, we apply a specialized traditional olive-oil soap. The fatty acids in the soap react chemically with the free calcium hydroxide within the lime matrix, precipitating insoluble calcium stearate directly inside the compressed surface pores to form the primary line of active water resistance.
Step 2: Breathable Siloxane Water Repellent
For standard shower enclosures and wet rooms, we apply a deep-penetrating, vapor-permeable siloxane repellent. This creates a robust secondary layer of defense against continuous water contact while fully preserving the wall's natural breathability.
Step 3: Natural Beeswax Integration
The final protective layer involves working a micro-layer of natural beeswax into the mineral surface. This delivers exceptional water beading, a rich tactile depth, and lasting protection against soap scum and water spots. (Note: For high-temperature steam rooms, Steps 2 and 3 are omitted, relying exclusively on multi-stage soaping integration to ensure thermal stability and absolute vapor permeability).
