ORIGIn of MICROCONCRETE

Microconcrete comes all the way from Spain, manufactured in the same factory that produces special cement for building bridges.

It is made up of cement, silica sands, special additives and resins.

Microconcrete is gaining popularity in Spain, where it originates from, in high end residential and commercial properties themed around Mediterranean style.

MICROCONCRETE Application PROCESS

The microconcrete system begins with the application of an advanced kind of cementitious waterproofing membrane that has osmotic and crystallisation properties.

Following up will be the application of the microconcrete mortar with a trowel, in 2 or 3 coats, with compression.

A few days later, when the mortar has set, it is ready to be polished. With the use of iron or diamond polishing disc and a grinder, we wet polish it to specification.

The magic happens in the polishing. The more the material is polished, the harder and more vitrified the surface gets, protecting the layers below from corrosion and water ingress.

For dry area such as countertops or balcony floors, we can apply a water & oil repelling impregnating sealer to enhance its performance!
