Microconcrete Jacuzzi | Grace Park

Starting from a freshly prepared cement screed base on this new build, we applied our specialized submerged microconcrete system to create a fully integrated, organic outdoor jacuzzi.

Unlike rigid pool tiles or pre-formed shells that struggle with rounded forms and custom geometries, microconcrete can be troweled fluidly across compound curves, rolled coping edges, and contoured hydrotherapy bench seating without a single grout line or joint.

Application & Technical Execution:

  1. Substrate Prep & Mesh Reinforcement: Over the cured cement screed, we applied a high-adhesion primer and embedded a structural fiberglass mesh layer to bridge micro-vibrations and prevent substrate cracking.

  2. Microconcrete Topcoat: Hand-troweled multiple thin, dense passes of waterproof microconcrete across the curved basin, jet recesses, and hydrotherapy bench.

  3. Mechanical Polishing (No Topical Sealers): Rather than applying film-forming topical sealers that can peel, bubble, or degrade under continuous chlorine exposure, the mineral matrix was simply wet-polished. This creates a silky, non-slip stone texture that relies on physical compression for waterproofing.

Why Choose Microconcrete for Organic Pools & Jacuzzis?

  • Fluid Architectural Curves: Perfect for rounded jacuzzi benches, submerged steps, and custom organic pool shapes where tiles require tedious cutting and unsightly grout grids.

  • Chlorine & Water Resistant: Built to endure full submersion and continuous chlorine water treatment.

  • Zero Topical Sealer Maintenance: Mechanically vitrified surface means no sealers to reapply or strip down the road.
